
The Pyrenees is a range of mountains which separate France and Spain and in between and sandwiched is the tiny nation of Andorra. This tour sets out to see explore these three countries and experience the history of each. This tour takes you through France and to the scenic Pyrenees to the tiny nation of Andorra and then onward to Spain taking in the sights of three capitals.
Andorra is the sixth smallest nation in Europe with its capital city Andorra La Vella, being the highest capital city in Europe. Although the country’s main language is Catalan, it shares government powers with France. You can expect to see dramatic mountainous landscapes, charming villages, and well preserved Romanesque churches.
Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, is the second largest city in Spain and is particularly known for the architectural works of Antoni Gaudi. It is one of the world’s leading tourist, economic, cultural and sports centres in the world and is a great destination for groups. The Sagrada Familia, which has been under construction since 1882, is one of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites which can be seen in the city. Also, you can spend time on one of seven beaches the city has. Barcelona beach regularly features on the list of top ten city beaches.
Paris, the capital of France, is considered by many to also be the cultural capital of Europe. With 11 million inhabitants, Paris is a bustling and vibrant city full of places of interest and attractions. This city of world importance has many places that your students will find both stimulating and expose them to French culture.

Day 5 | Morning: After breakfast travel to Costa Brava. En-route we will make a stop at Montserrat to see the famous monastery. Afternoon: Afternoon arrival at our accommodation located in the Costa Brava. Enjoy your afternoon relaxing and soaking up the Spanish sun. Evening:Evening free-time to enjoy at your leisure. |
Day 6 | Morning: After breakfast travel to Barcelona to see the Catalonian capital. Walking tour of the city. Afternoon: See the famous sights of Barcelona including the Sagrada de Familia, Place de Catalunya, Arc de Triomf, Park Güell and more. Evening:Evening meet up with coach and travel back to accommodation |
Day 7 | Morning: After breakfast travel to Bourges. Afternoon: Arrival in Bourges in the afternoon. Walking tour of the city to see the Bourges Cathedral, followed by free-time to explore the many museums within the city. Evening:Evening meet up with coach and travel back to accommodation. Overnight stay. |
Day 8 | Morning: After breakfast travel to Paris. Upon arrival near Eiffel Tower group will have time to go up this famous landmark. Afternoon: Spend the afternoon sightseeing the French capital at your leisure before travelling to accommodation. Evening:Evening Illuminations Tour. See the City of Light at night with visits to many of the Parisian sights. Overnight stay in Paris. |
Day 9 | Morning: After breakfast travel at hotel. Group travels to Versailles to see the magnificent Palace of Louis XIV. Afternoon: Spend the afternoon exploring the nagnificent palace and gardens of Versailles before departing in the afternoon. Evening:Evening ferry back to England and onward travel to home town. End of Tour. |
This cathedral was rebuilt on an earlier one in 1211. This has been the site where the kings of France were crowned and remains a popular destination for tourists annually. It is the seat of the Archdiocese of Reims and it celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2011. Throughout its history, besides the many coronations, it was also the liberated from English hands by Joan of Arc in 1429.
This capital city of Andorra has the distinction of being the highest capital in Europe and also a popular ski resort. Its history dates back to 1278 and the old town still has many buildings from this period. The piazza outside the parliament building is a popular place for tourists and hosts many events and music festivals.
This Benedictine abbey located on the mountain of Montserrat in Catalonia, Spain is known for enshrining the image of the Virgin of Montserrat. It is Catalonia’s most important religious retreats for young people from Barcelona and all over Catalonia. The Basilica houses works of art by painters and sculptors such as El Graco, Dali, and Picasso to name a few.
One of most recognizable landmarks in all of Europe, this immense Roman Catholic church in Barcelona was designed by Catalan genius Antoni Gaudi. Construction started in 1882 and today still remains in progress and is scheduled to be completed in 2026 on Gaudi’s 100 anniversary of his death. The style of the Sagrada Familia is Spanish Late Gothic with Catalan Modernism and Art Nouveau.
This large square in central Barcelona is generally considered the centre of the city where the old town meets the new. The city’s main streets meet at the Plaça Catalunya including Passeig de Gracia,Rambla de Catalunya,La Rambla or Portal de’l Angel. It has almost 50,000 square metres and is known for its fountains and statues.
This palace constructed between 1926 -1929 for the International Exhibition in Barcelona is the home to the National Art Museum of Catalonia. It exhibits over 5,000 Spanish artworks many of which come from Catalonia. Its dome features prominently in its design and is supported by artificial stone columns which were made on site.
Camp Nou or New Field in English is the home stadium to European Football powerhouse FC Barcelona and can seat 96,336 people making it the second largest stadium in Europe. It has hosted two UEFA Champions League finals and the football competition at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Stadium tours are available with advanced booking.

The Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris, or more commonly called Sacré-Cœur Basilica is a popular landmark on the highest point in the city which offers breath-taking views of the city. Constructed from 1875-1914, it is a double monument, political and cultural, and located in the most rebellious neighbourhood Montmartre.
