Automotive Technology at The Autostadt, Wolfsburg
Take your group to this unique visitor attraction and museum dedicated to automobiles. The Autostadt features pavilions for all the automobile brands in the Volkswagen Group, an enormous factory (tour available), an exhibit to the evolution of roads, and much more. The theme park is hugely popular with around 2 million visitors each year coming to learn about automotive technology.
Autostadt has many hands on activities such as off-road driving in a VW Toureg and Tiguan as well interactive exihibits on car design and performance of cars. The two 60 metre high glass buildings in the park are used for storing new Volkswagens in the ultra-high tech customer vehicle delivery centre. Also on the site are pavilions dedicated to Audi, Lamborghini, Skoda, Seat and the Premium Clubhouse Pavillion to Bentley and Bugatti.
The city of Wolfsburg also has Wolfsburg Castle (built 1302), the Phaeno Science Center ( largest hands-on science museum in Germany), as well as several interesting museums for your group to visit whilst on this tour.

Day 1 | Evening: Departure from your school and travel by coach to Dover for crossing into France. |
Day 2 | Morning: Arrival in Germany and stop for breakfast before arriving in Wolfsburg before lunch time. Afternoon: After lunch, admission to the Autostadt to see the exhibits dedicated to the automobile and car brands of the volkswagen group. Evening: Evening check-in at accommodation and overnight stay. |
Day 3 | Morning: After breakfast, travel to the centre of Wolfsburg to visit the Phaeno Science Centre or one of the many museums in Wolfsburg. Afternoon: Enjoy sightseeing in Wolfsburg at your leisure. Evening: Evening departure from Wolfsburg and overnight travel to the port of Calais. |
Day 4 | Morning: Return back to school in England. End of Tour. |
Sights & places of interest in Wolfsburg
This Science Center was built in 2005 next to the railway station. This museum is the largest hands-on science museum in Germany and will keep your group interested and fascinated throughout their visit.
The People’s Museum is an art museum dedicated to German artists from the Lower Saxony and further afield.
