Skiing in La Plagne, France

This ski resort located in the alpine valley of Tarentaise (Savoie) is popular with both amateur and more professional skiers and lies at an altitude between 1,250 – 3,250 metres. The resort offers 100km2 of ski area spread across four different communes (Aime, Bellentre, Champagny-en-Vanoise and Mâcot-la-Plagne). La Plagne offers 225 kilometres of slopes (15 black/expert, 30 red/advanced, 72 blue/intermediate, and 10 green/beginner) and a large off piste skiing area.

The resort offers 2 cable cars (1 of which is one of the fastest in the world) linking La Plagne with Les Arcs and Aime-La Plagne, 8 gondolas, 36 chairlifts, and 38 drag lifts.
