Longleat House is a stately house and home of the Marquesses of Bath. It is famous for its Elizabethan country house, maze and beautifully landscaped gardens which includes a safari park. The house was built by Sir John Thynne and took 12 years to complete and is widely considered one of the finest examples of Elizabethan architecture in Britain.
